"Michael always loved live music, cheering on his Clemson Tigers, and would often find himself in unplanned adventures.
Tyler was briefly featured in 90s shows such as Just Shoot Me! along with Sabrina the Teenage Witch, before being given a character background in the second season of Friends in 1994. Through the course of the show's run, he became most frequent guest actor on the show, playing Gunther, who is the central Perk barista who has an unrequited love for Rachel (Jennifer Aniston).
Tyler was first cast as a serving barista at The Bourgeois Pig coffee shop in Los Angeles.
